Marty Robbins came to prominence as a Country Singer in the early 50s. When Rock and Roll Came in, Marty Sang in a Rockabilly Style and covered an Early Song by Elvis, "That's All Right Mama." Then Marty Covered Chuck Berry Song, "Mabelline" and was tremendously successful. Marty Continued to do a Country Style Rock and Roll, and his recording of "A White Sports Coat" was done under the influence of Pop Music and this song was a tremendous hit in the height of the Teenage Era of Rock and Roll.

You might be interested to know that I read where Jerry Reed Said in the beginning of his Guitar Playing Career he practiced 16 hours a day.
I read where Chet Atkins wrote that he practiced 8 hours a day, every day of his life, in addition to his professional playing. And Chet said that he would never let a day go by unless he put in his 8 hours of practice.
If Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins Needed so much practice, how much practice does the average Guitar Player need to be good?
After reading how much time Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins put in practicing the Guitar I thought I might need 14 hours a day. So for three years I practiced 14 hours a day. I was pleasantly surprised to find out what 14 hours of practice a day would do for my Guitar Playing.

Marty Sang Hawaiian Songs and achieved a great fan base. No one had ever popularized the songs from this island State. Marty could slide into a high falsetto with Great Ease and this made his Hawaiian Songs sound so good.
Making a Living in Music -- Spotlighting Bobby Ward
After his Cowboy songs were recorded, Marty did a couple of more songs that might be considered Rock and Roll, "Ruby Ann" being one of those songs that achieved popularity. A few years passed before Marty had a really big hit again. In 1968 Marty's Recording of "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife" achieve great popularity and showed the musical maturity of Marty Robbins.

Great Music from Marty's Early Career and his Later Career. The Best of both periods of Marty's Long and Artistic Career. |
Marty Recorded what could be considered a Jazz Album with "Marty After Midnight." This was a highly artistic album that anyone who love pop and Jazz Music could appreciate for certain.
Marty's singing talent knew no
bounds. He could sang Traditional Country, Rock and Roll, Hawaiian, Cowboy Song, Jazz and
Rhythm and Blues, and a more developed and refined Pop Music. I know of no other singer
who has ever had this kind of versatility in their singing performance.

Though Marty Robbins came from Humble beginnings, he was a very high Quality Person. In America one can rise from humble beginnings to great wealth and fame, if they have the ability to do so. Marty most assuredly gained great fame and wealth during his life time.

I own a Vintage 30s Regal Dobro Which has great Sound that I love so much.
My 30s Regal has bark and bite. It yells very loud.
The 30s Regal can also be very soft and sweet when you want that sound
My Newer Asian Regal Dobro has a very sweet Sound, but it lacks the Body and volume, the bark and the bite of the Vintage 1930s Regal Dobro.
